Responsible for the delivery of an Accounts Payable related implementation who will provide appropriate leadership, coordination and facilitation to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget and to scope.
Work closely with the Senior Business Sponsor and Cross Functional Stakeholders of IT, Finance, and other stakeholder teams as required.
Work with the project team subject matter experts, Business and IT members to understand current state Finance processes (i.e. accounts payable) and integrated systems.
Conduct Current State and Future State process analysis, capturing pain points, challenges, gaps to identify/present solution alternatives and recommendations.
Refine project scope, schedule, approach, governance, team structure and socialize for approval with project team, cross functional stakeholders and oversight committees.
Capture and manage project Risks, Action Items, Issues and Key Decisions throughout project life cycle.
Report project status to cross functional managers, including senior management and executives.
Facilitate and manage program meetings and drive team members to key decision points including phase gate approval meetings.
Required Skills & Experience.
10+ Years of full life cycle ‘Business’ project management and process improvement experience working directly or indirectly in Finance Operations or AP Operations teams.
Must have strong experience with Invoicing and Accounts Payable business processes and related system functionality (preferably PeopleSoft, Oracle Financials).
Strong analytical and presentational skills to share analysis, findings and recommendations with Senior stakeholders.
Must be hands on with deliverables and day to day work tasks.
Excellent communicator. Credible, articulate and authoritative and proven ability to influence with impact at all levels of the organization.
Strong facilitator – can run effective project meetings and workshops delivering on objectives by engaging participants.
Strong delivery focus – able to deliver against timeline and achieve results in a fast paced environment.
Can-do mindset. Flexible, positive thinker that can find the way to get things down in a complex, dynamic and fast moving environment.
Must have Agile project delivery experience and Agile certified.
Preferred PMP or other PM Certification and Big 5 consulting experience.
