Job Description

Summary:

As the Project Manager – Clinical Engineering Obsolescence Program, you’ll be responsible for the successful completion of all projects within the CE-OBS Portfolio. You will plan, schedule, and coordinate the efforts of all internal, cross-functional teams and vendor resources as necessary to meet schedule requirements and stated goals on each project. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects over the project lifespan (initiation, planning, execution, controlling, and closure), ensuring successful acceptance and closure of each project
  • Engage with all sites within the company scheduling, attending, and conducting project kick-off, status, planning, technical requirement gathering, and project closure meetings as necessary.
  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess needs and requirements
  • Maintain, and manage the project plan and associated components including, meetings, conference calls, agendas, meeting notes, and schedules.
  • Provide management oversight for each project and communicate the project schedule to internal teams as well as Leadership, stakeholders, and sponsors.
  • Track and report project milestones and provide accurate, translatable, and useful metrics/reporting on performance and progress using PMO tools.
  • Develop internal and external relationships and manage expectations throughout the project duration and act as a liaison between internal and external team members.
  • Assure compliance and proactively identify and mitigate risk.
  • Ensure accurate operational costs, estimations, resource costs, and accounting relating to each project assigned, as appropriate.
  • Use best practices and tools for the execution of business systems and integration projects and lead initiatives to streamline, simplify and optimize integrated systems and processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of PM experience in a Medical/Clinical environment
  • Experience with industry standards, and organizational project management tools including SharePoint, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Visio, and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Detail orientated and organized, able to manage and prioritize numerous activities within time constraints and deadlines
  • Maturity of the judgment under pressure and the ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Ability to successfully forge relationships and negotiate successfully with all project stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with an excellent professional presence
  • Solid business acumen with a proactive approach to continuous process improvement
  • Proven leadership abilities, self-motivated to work independently, but will work under the direct supervision of the Sr. Program Manager
  • Understanding and adherence to Medical/Clinical Device Regulatory compliances. I.e. HIPAA. ITIL, etc.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, biomedical engineering, technology, or related field
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience managing projects in a Hospital or Healthcare setting, working closely with all levels of leadership
