Job Description

Qualifications

  • Education/Training (both required and desired):
    • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics preferred
    • Project management training desired
    • Department of Defense training or certification in Test and Evaluation; Life-cycle Logistics; or Engineering
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years of project management experience with Government or industry, at least 5 years of which must be in defense Test & Evaluation; Life-cycle Logistics, Engineering; or Aviation Maintenance field as a program or project manager.
    • Familiarity with Naval Air Systems Command desired.
  • Security:
    • Must be a ====
    • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Expertise and Functions

  • Manages engineering and logistics services on a Navy contract with test and measurement engineering, software development, model based systems engineering, program and logistics analysis requirements.
  • Serves as the technical leader and primary point of contact with the Government customer.
  • Work will include:
    • Supervision of personnel;
    • Development of staffing plans, job descriptions and works with Human Resources team to staff personnel;
    • Mentoring of junior team members and maintenance or team morale;
    • Fostering core values of: taking care of our customers; doing the right things, always; maintaining a workplace of mutual respect; striving to do our best; and putting passion into what we do.
  • Responsible for orchestration and execution of projects including:
    • Organizing project teams;
    • Planning projects including resource assignment and managing schedules;
    • Ensuring deliverables are adequately defined and delivered on time;
    • Monitoring and status reporting of project execution and metrics;
    • Deployment and integration of deliverables within customer programs; and
    • Keeping management informed via regular reviews.
  • Provides direct customer support on program and project activities as necessary for successful outcomes;
  • Responsible for cultivating team innovation and encouraging participation in company internal research and development activities.
