Job Description

We are seeking an organized, energetic, and experienced individual to perform the following:

Construction Solutions are defined as (Intrusion Detection Systems, Video Surveillance Systems, Access Control Systems, VoIP Systems, 70v Audio Systems, Intercom Systems, Paging Systems, Digital Signage, Emergency Call Box Systems, RF Distribution Systems, Data Distribution Systems and AV Systems) for direct Clients, Home Builders, or other Contractors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work in a safe manner per our Company's and Clients Safety Policy and Plan.

2. Work must be done within the guidelines of our contracted scope, installation plans and project specifications. You must be able to read and understand contract scope of work, change orders and addendums delivered in both a paper form and electronic form.

3. Develop a practical knowledge of our company's current and market driven evolving products and service offerings.

4. Minimize our company's exposure and risk on each project by your oversight.

5. Communicate constantly and openly with our team and clients about your activities for the company.

6. Maintain positive relationships with our team, contractors, project owners, and other parties involved.

7. Provide excellent customer service.

8. Effectively communicate relevant information to superiors. Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.

9. Optimize profitability while protecting and preserving company assets.

10. Process monthly statements to customers with outstanding balances as well as phone call follow up support to expedite payments.

11. Manage printing orders for plans and deliverables.

12. Assist in phone coverage and message routing.

13. Position reports to the Director of Construction.

14. Perform other duties as assigned.

15. Attend training to learn how to program and commission technology systems.

16. Perform technical field labor as needed by the Company.

17. Accounting and Finance

a. Support specific Projects P&L by creating project budgets and working to keep cost of goods, subcontractors, and direct labor expenses within project budget to maximize profitability while maintaining the customer service level within contract requirements. Budget reconciliations (actuals vs. forecasted) are expected on all projects.

b. Communicate with the Sales team for the proper invoicing of Solutions work to our clients.

c. Support and review purchase orders for inventory stock and projects needs as it pertains to Construction Solutions division.

d. Process returns to our vendors.

e. Create and process PO's for vendors.

f. Assist in inventory management company wide

18. Operations - Project Management

a. Support the Director of Construction on all projects including the management of technicians, office support staff, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to complete projects per the contracts.

b. Support the Director of Construction in reporting metrics that monitor the activities of the division which identify and analyzes the profitability and effectiveness of the efforts being used to complete the contracted work by the division. This includes tracking labor hours and materials on all projects for monthly invoicing.

c. Help support the project's quality control and end user training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. This person must possess organizational, communication, problem-solving and business administrative skills.

2. Ability to be flexible and adjust to changes in daily schedule.

3. Must keep adequate records of tasks and communicate openly with manager and co-workers.

4. Must be able to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Must have experience in the areas of technical customer service, accounting and finance, human resources, sales, and operations.

2. Must have proven record of independent decision-making ability and good interpersonal skills.

3. Must be a legal citizen or resident of the U.S.

4. Must possess a clean criminal record and be able to pass background checks.

5. Must have the ability to read and write at Basic English proficiency and compute basic math functions.

6. Skill in observing situations and decision making.

7. Skill in dealing courteously with the public and our clients.

8. Skill in leading the work of others.

9. Must possess a basic understanding of general construction services as well as the installation and maintenance of Audio Visual, Communication, Electrical, Life Safety, Security, and IT systems.

10. High school graduate required. Associate/Bachelor of Engineering or Technical trade required.

11. Must possess a good driving record, valid driver's license, and a vehicle for transportation of yourself daily to your assigned work location within the DC/Baltimore Metro Area.

12. Must have the physical ability to perform the job tasks, duties and responsibilities while lifting a 60 lbs. weight overhead, run up two floors of stairs, climb a 12' ladder, and crawl all without assistance.

13. Must have the ability to operate a variety of computer and smart phone programs including QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, E-Mail, and Web browsers.
