This role will focus on the Project Management function in support of our reporting & analytics projects in support of our finance organization, globally.
The role involves designing, planning, mobilizing, directing and monitoring all aspects of project delivery from inception to completion and effective transition to production.  Typical responsibilities will include the creation and adherence to schedule, management of task execution, issues, risks, budget and status reporting.
The Project Management function will work to achieve specific, defined business objectives through the delivery of business processes and technology changes. 
The function will track and manage a portfolio of business projects, manage and facilitate investment decisions, and have responsibility and oversight of projects deliverables.
The role will work with the business, technical staff and vendors to develop, implement and maintain budgets, schedules, resources plans, issues, risks, status and various communications to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently and with a high degree of quality.
The role will partner with other vendors to define, maintain and execute against an implementation methodology that will use a set of tools and templates to support the project. Examples would include Project Plans, Scope Definitions, Project Charters, Issues/Risk logs, Change Control Processes, Roles & Responsibilities, Status Reports, etc.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Help drive the work in collaboration with various stakeholders. Proactively connecting the dots and raising questions to obtain clear direction and decision.
  • Define, implement and maintain project governance artifacts (e.g. plans, communications, budgets, metrics, status, decision-making framework, etc.)
  • Partner closely with stakeholders, vendors and various workstreams to inform program-level documents (e.g. project plans, budgets, status, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain strong and productive relationships with all members of the team
  • Establish project communications strategy and deliver results through highly effective communications.
  • Define and administer the process for gathering status across the various workstreams to support monitoring and project-level status.
  • Communicate status of project within and across departments to all levels, including the senior executive.  Ensure project status is accurate, comprehensive, and proactively addresses issues and risks
  • Continuously manage issues and risks proactively, preventing escalated situations. 
  • Address project changes as they arise, and often proactively, through altering project processes.
  • Effective organization of meetings to ensure flow of information, progress, proactive mitigation of risks and issues
  • Use influence and expertise to promote an atmosphere of cohesiveness and focused collaboration between all the members of the team in the interest of driving the product forward
 
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 7+ years of experience in leading large, complex and global projects to deliver system and business change to organizations
  • Experience managing Reporting/Analytics and/or ERP programs/projects is required (PeopleSoft, Workday, Prism, Domo, Oracle, SAP Business Objects, NetSuite, Salesforce etc.)
  • Projects related to Workday, Prism, Domo, SAP Business Objects is desired
  • Certifications related to Project Management and Scrum Master is a plus
  • Strong and proven leader; self-starter with a track record of successful large scale deployments
  • Experience working in a finance SOX controlled environment is a plus
  • Experience working with multiple entities and sub-ledgers in a global environment is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Good balance of business/accounting operational and system expertise required
  • Working knowledge of various System Development Life Cycle methodologies (e.g. agile, iterative, waterfall, etc.)
  • Thorough knowledge of and demonstrated skills in use of software such as MS Projects, Word, Excel,  PowerPoint, Visio, JIRA, ServiceNow, Smartsheets, etc.
  • BA /BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or equivalent
