Role: QA Automation Engineer
Primary Skills: Quality Assurance
Note: Strong possibility of conversion to FTE. Looking for mid-level candidates.
Role Description: The QA Automation Engineer would need to have at least 5+ years of experience. You will be part of the Quality Assurance team, collaborating with mobile, front-end, and back-end engineers to instill test automation that enables to deliver amazing products at a fast pace.
Qualifications:
- Looking for someone pretty experienced mid to senior level.
- Automated test experience is very important
- Experience with working with DevOps team.
- API testing and moving some over to Mochajs
- GIT is very helpful, at least a little bit
- Mobile SDK testing is helpful. Might be something that will be addressed in the future. How to do automated testing for sdks.
- Proactively work with development teams, will be able to self-manage, work across teams
- Push toward integration and automation
- Test automation will be involved.
- Collaborate with DevOps team to set this up.
- Prepare the stand-alone test automation.
- Deploying selenium or Mochajs.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Experience using automated testing frameworks for front-end as well as backend applications
- Development and implementation of functional and regression test suites
- Collaborating with product owners, engineers and other team members to help refine scope and define acceptance criteria
- Triage incoming feedback, logging defects and potential go-backs in a way that is clear and actionable to engineers
- Able to collaborate and work with multiple teams
- Collaborating with the DevOps team to integrate test automation with our CI/CD toolset
You will need to have:
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 4 years relevant work experience within a software development environment
- Familiarity with API testing and associated tooling (e.g., Postman)
- Front-end test automation (e.g. Selenium, Nightwatch)
- A basic understanding of Git
Even better if you have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with load/performance tests
- Experience with open source test frameworks for iOS and Android
- Familiarity with Agile development process, Jira, Charles (or similar proxy clients, Protractor, Espresso, MochaJS)
- Experience with programming languages like Java, NodeJS, and Python
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent.
