Job Description:

We're looking for a QA Lead with a passion for mobile app and web to help create high quality product and releases. You will build and lead a small, high-performing team of QA engineers to ensure that only the highest quality of our product is delivered to our customers. You will work closely with Engineering and Product teams to define and execute QA standards and processes. You will help deliver business goals through high quality, reliable, and scalable technology.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Define QA standards; set and execute QA processes; plan/organize necessary test passes; help triage bugs and drive issues to resolutions; keep key stakeholders informed of QA status
  • Manage QA coverage of web and mobile app (on both Android and iOS)
  • Execute manual and write automated tests, and identify actionable bugs quickly
  • Work with different teams (Engineering/PM/Operation) to collect necessary information to assure the QA coverage, and also provide feedback on quality issues
  • Work with onsite and offshore team to set their priorities and remove their roadblocks to make sure sufficient coverage is done for the release
  • Assess the status of the release, and help make sure that the release goes out on time with high quality level
  • Create and support test dashboards/reports
  • Grow QA team timely and effectively in support of the company’s project roadmap
  • Source, negotiate, evaluate, and manage third-party QA companies (if applicable)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering
  • 3-5 years of Quality Assurance experience in testing mobile applications and executing detailed test cases/test plans/test design documents
  • Ability to construct test cases and get them prioritized based on changes
  • Strong experience with Android apps, iOS native apps, mobile browser apps and web applications
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Trello, TestLodge, TestRails, etc.)
  • Knowledge of test and tool development methodology
  • Experience in coding language
  • Communication skills, including development of presentations
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in team, multi-task and flexible with working hours
  • Experience scaling and leading a small team of QA engineers
  • Experience working closely with Engineering, PM, and Operation teams
  • Hands-on experience with Android SDK and XCode
  • Experience in testing RESTful WebServices and backend APIs
  • Experience with automation tools such as XCUITest, Espresso, Appium and Selenium is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science
  • Experience in Java and/or PHP
  • Experience with UX design
