Job Scope & Purpose:

Our Cambridge and Waltham based client is looking for a proactive team player and rapid learner to help analyze exciting microbial therapies. As part of the role, you will have the opportunity to learn novel methods and execute them to help move products forward to patients. Additionally, they are a highly collaborative team, and the work will support critical efforts from functions across the company, including Analytical Development/ASAT, Manufacturing/MSAT, Facilities and Engineering, and Quality Assurance. Primary Job Responsibilities:
  • Collect surface, air viable and particulate environmental monitoring samples
  • Perform water collection
  • Process and incubate environmental monitoring samples
  • Perform data entry into database and supports trending
  • Support authoring and revision of SOPs, protocols and reports
  • Support special projects as assigned
  • Manage/stock of QC supplies
  • Complete and maintain cGMP documentation for work performed
  • Support general laboratory activities including housekeeping and equipment maintenance
  • Perform assay review
  • Communicate any discrepancies or deviations to management upon discovery
  • Participate in investigations and CAPA assignments as needed
  • Complete and maintain gowning qualification to work in clean room
  • Support analytical methods for process monitoring and product release when needed
  • Work with senior staff to develop, qualify, and troubleshoot analytical methods

Primary Job Requirements:
  • Associates' or Bachelors' degree in the life sciences and 1+ years of hands-on laboratory experience
  • Experience with environmental monitoring and aseptic techniques
  • Team player capable of working in a fast-paced environment; Highly proactive and interested in rapidly learning new skills and helping the team
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to operate analytical instrumentation (i.e. microscopy, titration equipment, microplate readers etc.)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and office productivity software and the ability to quickly learn new software
  • Previous experience with cGMP operations is a plus
