Your future duties and responsibilities
*Overall delivery and performance of QA and testing services across multiple projects/lines of business
*Defining and implementing overall QA and testing strategy, process and practices
*Defining and implementing the operational framework and delivery model
*Defining, implementing and monitoring key performance indicators and service level objectives
*Defining and implementing a roadmap for evolving to a managed testing services model
*Developing estimates for large testing programs
*Performing test maturity assessments for testing projects and/or testing operational models
*Planning and managing knowledge acquisition and transition for large testing programs
*Financial forecasting, budget management, tracking and reporting to senior management
*Ensuring that the status of each testing project is clearly monitored and reported to internal and external senior management
*Ensuring risk mitigation plans are in place and monitored closely; Escalating and resolving issues with senior management
*Managing the delivery of improvement activities identified from lessons learned reviews and management reviews
*Resource management and optimization to ensure testing activity and resourcing requirements are effectively planned
*Defining and deploying appropriate training / mentoring practices to ensure teams possess, maintain and develop required skill sets
*Coaching, mentoring and guiding the testing team in their daily project activities
*Team performance management activities (reviews, career planning, salary discussions, etc.)
*Administrative duties will be required (time/expense approvals, financial reporting, status reporting, etc.)

Performing duties related to business development including:

*Writing statements of work and engineering change proposals
*Preparing proposals (both written and PowerPoint)
*Developing QA and testing solutions including technical approach, delivery approach, financial model, etc.
*Oral presentation of proposals and SOWs to senior management and stakeholders
*Oral presentation of testing capabilities and solutions to clients and prospects

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
*Experience working in a consulting environment
*Possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of QA and Testing methodologies and tools.
*Background and proven ability to manage large, complex QA and testing projects/programs with multiple work streams
*Proven experience in developing testing solutions, initiating new testing projects and controlling test projects (scope, risk and issue management, status reporting at all levels, planning, estimating, resourcing, scheduling, etc.)
*Demonstrated experience delivering complex testing projects on time and at or under budget
*Experience in managing and providing delivery oversight for teams
*Excellent written and oral communication skills
*Excellent executive presentation skills and ability to communicate with all levels
*Excellent time management, task planning, multitasking and prioritization skills
*Able to adapt quickly to changing client requirements
*Skilled with Microsoft office suite
*Persuasive, collaborative business acumen with the ability to drive business partners strategically and influence others
*Track record of populating teams with the best talent, successful resource allocation, and motivating team performance
*Can handle and resolve performance related items
*Can manage conflict
*Can coach team members based on experience with testing methodologies
*Strong negotiation skills
*Excellent facilitation, time management and organization skills
*Able to foster working relationships with the team and clients in a distributed team model
10 years' experience in IT

Nice to have skills:

*DoD, Navy and Marine Corps Contracting experience is a huge plus
*Experience with global project delivery would be a huge plus
*Experience within a CMMi level 3 (or higher) organization would be an asset
*Performance management experience delivering to Service Level Agreements in a QA and testing environment for Enterprise Clients

Required Level of Education:

*Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Diploma in IT with equivalent IT experience
*Industry recognized testing certification(s)
