Quality Assurance Lead
A Quality Assurance Lead reports to the Global QA Manager, and is responsible for adhering to the QA policies, processes and documentation standards, overseeing and participating in all aspects of the project. The QA Lead should be proficient in eCommerce architecture and back-end integration with websites. The QA Lead should be able to leverage their project management skills to perform the day to day management of projects / tasks / resources, but goes beyond this remit to work across the business, Product Owners, Scrum Masters in order to produce the final deliverable on time and to budget.
We re looking for a driven and successful QA Lead with a proven history of working in a more demanding / time sensitive environment. You ll work as part of a team of Global QA Leads alongside highly experienced and talented Brand Producers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Product development team for a successful delivery
The successful candidate will be adapt with different project management methodologies, and comfortable working with both Waterfall and AGILE. To succeed, candidates must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively, together with the ability to work under pressure whilst ensuring optimum output.
Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail and good presentation skills is a must. This role will involve frequent in person meetings with various teams on the Requirements, Architectural sessions, SOS and PI planning sessions . They will also be expected to form strong relationships with peers in our Global team, and be comfortable working in a collaborative fashion to achieve common goals.
Key required Skillset:
2. Interpersonal skills QA leads need to constantly communicate with upper management and other teams on the project. As such, they should be really good at interpersonal verbal, oral, and written communication. Throughout all phases of product development they should be proactive to report progress, plans, and problems to upper management and other involved parties and also ask feedback from upper management and implement the suggested changes in as efficient a way as possible.
3. Automation/ Technical experience: It is preferable for a QA lead to have some kind of Technical/ automation experience so as to guide the team in framing intelligent test cases/ bug reporting and involvement in requirements discussion with project teams.
4. Test plan development The testing plan is one of the most important parts of quality assurance. QA leads should be familiar with creating and executing quality assurance test plans to ensure the product being released is up to industry and company standards and publish test status reports.
5. Time, Resource and project management since QA leads have to juggle multiple projects at a given time, they should be excellent at time, resource and project management so they don t delay the project. In order to maintain deadlines, QA leads should also evaluate the team throughout the life of the project to identify areas where improvement can be made.
6. Industry-specific skills/certifications QA leads should have knowledge specific to the industry in which they are working. In this case it is retail/ eCommerce.
