Job Description

Job Duties Summary: Responsible for ensuring a product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance. Will lead, coordinate, implement and maintain a company-wide quality assurance program.

Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties:

  • Develop, implement, maintain and audit an overall quality program which meets the quality and service needs of the customers (ISO9001).
  • Establish, document and continuously improve state of the art processes and procedures for quality assurance.
  • Ensure all Statistical Process Control activities are complete and accurate.


  • Experience in setting up and continuously improving a Quality Management System (QMS) compliant to ISO9001:2008/2015
  • Experience in manufacturing quality assurance, developing and supporting corporate processes –aligned with the QMS.
  • Develop and implement effective auditing strategy to identify any weaknesses in the QMS; execution of audits and drive appropriate and effective corrective and preventive actions throughout the company.
  • Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
  • Development of quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in DoD, FAA and NASA hardware manufacturing preferred.
  • Experience with supplier evaluation and management desirable.


  • BS degree in an applicable discipline or equivalent of 4 years directly related experience.
  • Working knowledge of Quality Assurance systems including inspection, process control, non-conforming material, and contract conformance.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001:2008, ISO9001:2015 and MIL-Q9858
  • Familiarity with Process Modelling according BPMN (Business Process Modelling and Notation)
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in independently translating company-wide quality assurance program objectives into auditable processes which meet ISO QMS standards. Candidate must be able to analyze manufacturing and Quality System processes and determine root cause and corrective action, as well as determine effectiveness or corrective action process.
  • Able to effectively interface with all facets of contracts, design, manufacturing and inspection.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be capable of producing Visio Drawings, spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, as well as merge information into Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Capable of using the resources available on company databases to research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to electronic inspection, production, and procurement and configuration inspection acceptance issues.
  • Must show track record of problem resolution, as well as being able to explain solutions to internal and external customers.
  • Software Quality Assurance or Reliability Assurance knowledge a plus.
