Job Description

 

  • This is a hands on roll up your sleeves roll focused on complex Teams Voice deployments for nationwide and international clients either doing a fresh implementation or clients migrating from other systems like Cisco and Avaya
  • In addition to roll up your sleeves hands on work, this position is responsible for providing leadership in enterprise consulting services. Lead solution architecture and implementation for software and cloud services with a particular focus on Teams Voice & Collaboration.  Lead multiple, simultaneous client projects in conjunction with project management, act as the technical lead for project delivery teams, as well as providing thought leadership on the latest technology developments in their area of expertise. Act as a trusted advisor to technical or C-level stakeholders.
  • MSP experience is a huge plus and preferred but he will consider someone coming out of a corporation who worked on a large and complex (30K plus seat minimum) implementation.

The Microsoft Principal Consultant - Voice role is responsible for providing leadership in enterprise consulting services in an outcome-driven solutions model. The Microsoft Principal Consultant - Voice leads solution architecture and implementation for software and cloud services with a particular focus on Teams Voice & Collaboration.  The position is expected to lead multiple, simultaneous client projects in conjunction with project management, act as the technical lead for project delivery teams, as well as providing thought leadership on the latest technology developments in their area of expertise. The Principal Microsoft Consultant -Voice can act as a trusted advisor to technical or C-level stakeholders.

 

Essential Functions

  • Learn client’s business, their organization, systems, challenges, and goals
  • Participate in, and lead, stakeholder brainstorming, technical planning and design sessions
  • Craft the technical vision by mapping requirements to technical solutions, communicating through functional and technical designs
  • Collaborate in or lead solution architecture definition with pre-sales
  • Validate pre-sales design during design assurance
  • Participate in planning of technical execution
  • Execute design and implementation according to and industry best practices
  • Maintain accurate documentation and produce project deliverables as scoped
  • Perform work according to schedule and within budget
  • Lead and develop new product training and knowledge transfer
  • Articulate execution strategy through roadmaps, estimates and implementation plans
  • Ensure quality through enforcement of best practices and project governance
  • Build prototypes and proofs of concept to validate technical decisions
  • Lead by example through implementation of challenging, core components
  • Lead client facing, and internal training (technology training and/or application specific-training)
  • Engages directly with customers at the CIO/CTO level, supporting executive briefings and innovation workshops
  • Research new technologies and document deployment strategies and best practices
  • Make recommendations on new products or offers to add to the Microsoft portfolio
  • Collaborate as a team with peers on delivery, problem solving, and knowledge sharing

 

Additional Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work on projects both independently and as a team lead or team member
  • Stay abreast of latest network and cloud technologies within and around technical specializations
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to colleagues
  • Develop process standards and practices and templates

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors in related field or 8+ years related experience with Microsoft solutions
  • Voice & Collaboration (Teams, Skype for Business, Telephony, Meetings and Room Systems, Yammer)
  • Experience with SIP trunking and AudioCodes SBC platforms
  • Experience with Teams Direct Routing implementation
  • Current Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate certification

Technical competencies (One or more)

  • Identity & Security (Azure AD, Intune, MEM, MDM, Compliance, Defender products, PKI)
  • Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, IoT, Networking, Back-up / Site Recovery, Analytics)
  • Office 365 & Infrastructure (Exchange, OneDrive, Virtualization, Automation, Windows Servers)
  • SharePoint & Development (SharePoint, Power Platform, Databases, Business Intelligence, Software)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mid-sized to enterprise customers with multiple stakeholders
