Job Description

Root Cause Analyst – Sr. Consultant (6 MONTH CONTRACT)



  • Role Responsibilities - Work with LOB's and Operations to determine Root Cause for system failures and outages, trending and analysis
  • Primary Skills – ITIL Incident & Problem Mgt. Process, Infrastructure, DR Concepts
  • Familiarity with multiple Root Cause Analysis techniques such as (but not limited to), Pareto Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Fishbone, (Ishikawa/Cause and Effect), etc..
    • Review incident data to analyze assigned problems
    • Analyze problems for correct prioritization and classification
    • Investigate assigned problems through to resolution or root cause
    • Coordinate actions of others as necessary to assist with analysis and resolution actions for problems and known errors
    • Raise RFCs to resolve problems
    • Monitor progress on the resolution of known errors and advising incident management staff on the best available workaround for incidents
    • Update the KEDB with new or updated known errors and workarounds
    • Assist with the handling of major incidents and identifying their root causes.
