Title: Release Manager- PM/BSA (4-7 Yrs)

Location: Waukegan, IL

Duration: 4-6 Months+

Job Description:

 The Deployment Consultant will coordinate and communicate the information required to deploy successful Infrastructure changes into production during the weekend change window.  

This position will be responsible for the following key areas:

Collaborate with PM’s and Service Delivery Leads in deployment planning and scheduling. Update communication site with critical changes

Coordinate with communications specialist to draft and approve communications before and after deployment

Work with the implementation leads to solve user issues during pre and post migration

Ensure the implementation schedule accommodates back out, if necessary. 

Offer suggestions for improvement on best practices based on past and ongoing experience with migration communications

Able to incorporate “lessons learned” from experience into future communications design plans. Also, share the same with the team for general process and procedure enhancements

 

Qualifications

  • BA or BS is preferred but will consider equivalent and relevant work experience
  • 4-7 Yrs. experience in the IT field – project management experience a plus
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to remain flexible, objective and adapt well to change
  • Proven experience in playing a key role with large implementations of technology. Prior experience with Fortune 100 companies is preferred
  • Experience with upgrading/rolling out of technology for a large user group (Email Migration, Active Directory, Server Migrations, Office 365)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially reading and working with large sets of data
  • Strong Interpersonal, self-management and team building skills; Must work well in a team setting
  • Able to adjust work schedule to work weekends to coordinate changes during the deployment window.
