Release Manager

Work you'll do


As a Release Manager in our practice you will:


  • Create and update release schedules

  • Work with developers, testers, system administrators, and management to plan and execute releases and deployments

  • Create and update artifacts that ensure change management processes are relevant

  • Collaborate with change advisory boards to prioritize release content

  • Represent team in weekly release management meetings, presenting upcoming release plans and contingencies

  • Spearhead the development team as a release manager for monthly releases resulting in 100% on time deliverables with minimal defects

  • Oversee all phases of SDLC and implementation by ensuring all deliverables are completed and on time

  • Design new release processed around ITIL methodology that meets the needs of the business, creates key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to drive continuous service improvement

  • Act as project manager for the release of software systems: managing project, enhancements, bug fixes, and maintenance and patching releases

  • Scheduling releases, managing release processes, improving change and configuration management processes, coordinating release content, monitoring release and deployment progress, and assigning release tasks to team members

Qualifications


Required:


  • 4+ years of technology consulting or other relevant industry experience (Minimum of 1 year serving as a release manager)

  • Deep understanding of SDLC

  • Proficient with release and change management tools

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment

  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience



Preferred:


  • ITIL, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Relevant Agile Certifications
