Responsibilities

Perspecta's Intelligence Group:

The Intelligence group provides high-end systems engineering and integration products and services, data analytics and software development to national and military intelligence customers. Serving federal agencies and the Intelligence Community for more than 50 years, the Intelligence group helps our clients meet their mission needs by providing trusted advisors, leading-edge technologies, and innovative solutions.

Perspecta is the prime System Engineering and Integration contractor for a National Communications Program and provides full lifecycle, end-to-end Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services to a National Customer.

The National Communications Program's mission focus is to provide worldwide space and ground communications services utilizing state-of-the-art communications technologies. Perspecta leads a geographically dispersed team to support the design, development, acquisition and evolution of this complex multi-segmented communications system.

The INTREPID program provides transport system engineering expertise to the customer to develop new capabilities that meet user needs. The external facing activities are in a Services paradigm, while internally they are determining the acquisitions required to ensure the services are available as promised to the user community.

Responsibilities:
  • You will manage and verify requirements; capturing detailed descriptions of user needs and product functionality; and ensuring the project team has clear, consistent and testable requirements documented in user stories and completion criteria.
  • You will document, analyze and review software requirements for a large software development team responsible for development, test, installation, customer interface and O&M activities for several applications supporting the classification of data and documents.
  • You will be responsible for interfacing with multiple stakeholders to assess and understand the requirements to ensure that user stories are consistent and applicable across all products.
  • You will be responsible for overseeing functional and non-functional requirements for multiple products within the project team.
  • You will also reconcile conflicts; decompose high-level information into the appropriate level of detail for team members; and participate in peer reviews of requirements documentation.
  • You will support capability and solution definition for future systems through various system readiness events and independent review teams.
  • You will support ground and enterprise teams coordinating, establishing and assessing mission capabilities, co-ops and architecture products, assessing system and segment schedule and risks, supporting test and verification strategy and system integration of new systems and initiatives in support of expanded ground capabilities.
  • You will assess processes and create efficiencies continuously, and may lead project teams, have frequent client interactions, and support system and mission strategy development across the various ground offices.
  • You will have daily interaction with the customer and supporting contractors, and will follow customer standards and processes as the program matures through the life cycle.
  • You will interact with multiple Acquisition Offices (AOs) and facilitate risk and action closure with Acquisition Offices and users, and support technical consultation, meeting coordination, and support to recommendation briefings.

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Requires active TS/SCI with Poly.
  • Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
  • Strong Systems Engineering background with afocus on core Systems Engineering processes in support of end-to-end mission and services closure.
  • BS in Engineering, Physics or related technical degree.
  • Experience in supporting Requirements Engineering, Conops Development, and System Integration to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering.
  • Integration and closure experience within overall customer domain.
  • Knowledge of customer's mission capabilities (to include GEOINT, COMM, SIGINT and Multi-INT domains) and overall space and ground architecture.
  • Understand mission technical capabilities and system performance analysis and assessment.
  • Experience identifying user needs and gaps, identifying potential solutions, and assessing/analyzing alternatives.
  • Commitment to recognize, understand, respect and operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority.
Strongly Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with direct IC customer, technical familiarity with mission processing or mission control of systems, including sensor knowledge.
  • Ability to work for direct IC customer and familiarity with that customer's processes and organization.
