The Human Resources Business Partner will provide comprehensive management for 75-100 contract employees and function as their management of communication to eXcell, a division of CompuCom.

Level Overview:

  • Information Technology resource management background (5+ years)
  • 3+ years Employee Relations / Human Resources experience
  • 1 year of experience with group facilitation
  • Experience with negotiations within a business environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and make strategic recommendations
  • BA or BS Degree or equivalent professional experience

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Resource Management:

  • Track and manage assignment end dates for all associates
  • Proactively manage redeployment of associates
  • Develop associate relationship as source for candidate referrals
  • Leverage associate / client relationship to expand customer projects and leverage business opportunities
  • Contact new employees in the first week of work and maintain a minimum of monthly contact
  • Travel to major sites on a quarterly basis to leverage relationships with the customer and the associates
  • Maintain knowledge / competency around employment law
  • Troubleshoot issues of benefit and pay inquiries
  • Facilitate moves / changes of current team due to exits, new openings, etc. to best benefit the client and associates
  • Coach the associates on performance / attendance issues, documenting in JobDiva
  • Facilitate conflict resolution between team members, leads, clients, etc.
  • Inform associates of involuntary exits (end of assignment, performance, attendance, etc.)
  • Coordinate monthly check-in meetings with team leads and Ops Leads
  • Act as liaison between Leads and recruiting to help facilitate screenings for open positions
  • Provide recognition to the team, including identifying monthly All-Star winner
2. Associate Relations:
  • Assignment, preference for next assignment
  • Previous work experience, skillset
  • Career goals and direction, training
  • Set employer expectations in terms of company policy
  • Primary focal point for consultant / associate issues
  • Performance Reviews, salary reviews
  • Client feedback
3. Client Relations:
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to ensure employee performance
  • Includes travel to client sites
  • Work with client on associate end dates / extensions
  • Regular communication with the client regarding changes, staffing, etc.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the client to provide updates on staffing
4. Administrative:
  • Assure CompuCom administrative processes work for associates
  • Assure employees follow processes (timecards, etc.)
  • Employee orientation
  • Maintain live resource report on RM SharePoint
  • Approve time off requests based on available coverage for team / site
  • Assist associates with submitting expenses, timesheets, use of eXcell / CompuCom tools
  • Submit pay change requests to RM Team manager for approval
  • Pay / data changes
  • Open reqs for new / backfill positions
  • Submit new hires, requesting network accounts and laptops
  • Send exit instructions and process exits
  • Submit employee change forms for tracking
  • Send reporting instructions, policies, and required training to new hires
  • Provide information on FMLA / EAP to associates as needed
  • Assist associates with booking travel
  • Special projects as assigned
5. Backfill for RM Team Manager:
  • Complete weekly resource reports for client which include current headcount, upcoming hires / exits / changes, and recruiting updates
  • Complete monthly attrition report for the client
  • Participate in high-level meetings with client and eXcell / CompuCom management
  • Work with Service Delivery Manager and Program Director for scoping / pricing new business
  • Roll out new required trainings to team, initiate annual training renewals for team in Q1
  • Complete stack-ranking in Q1 using feedback from RMs, Leads, and metrics
  • Using metrics select quarterly / annual All-Star winners
  • Review / approve pay increase requests from RMs
  • Assist client with answering billing questions
  • Facilitate weekly team meeting with eXcell leadership dedicated to the client account, ensuring follow up on ARs assigned
  • Point of contact for changes to processes regarding staffing, new hires, exits, attendance
  • Maintain all policy documentation specific to the client account, with annual reviews / updates
  • Continually review current processes, procedures, trainings, etc. to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Create new trainings / presentations as needed to guide team to success
  • Facilitate and present quarterly town hall meeting for eXcell associates at the client site
  • Monitor attrition rates and proactively seek out solutions to reduce attrition and improve employee satisfaction
  • Point of escalation for issues unable to be resolved by dedicated RM
