Purpose of Job

We are seeking a talented Risk Analyst - Senior Level (TPRM Affiliates Strategy) for our Tampa, Fl, Phoenix, AZ or Remote facility.


The Risk Analyst Sr. will act as an internal consultant at the direction of the Director of Affiliate Strategy, focusing on identifying, evaluating, and recommending strategic alternatives for Affiliates Services in the Third-Party Risk Management Group. The role will also be responsible for identifying process and technical improvements to the Affiliate Services Program and related systems and working in a matrixed environment to support overall Program objectives as needed. This position will operate in a dynamic, fast paced environment and will require the ability to be a self-starter and comfort working in ambiguous situations with minimal direct supervision.


Provides risk management support for a line of business or staff agency in key risk identification, measurement and aggregation, and the understanding and management of risk through appropriate practices and processes. Assesses and mitigates enterprise and business exposures through the identification of key and emerging risks and evaluates alignment with risk strategy and appetite. Monitors the risk and control environment to ensure that exposures are kept at acceptable levels and may consult on risk mitigation plans.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or a related field required OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 6+ years risk management experience or 6 years operations experience in a relevant functional area to include banking, insurance, financial services, audit, project management, public accounting or other related operational area;
  • advanced degree/designation in a quantitative discipline relevant to risk management and up to 4 years relevant risk management work experience;
  • PhD in a quantitative discipline and 2+ years of relevant risk management work experience

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS


  • Internal or external consulting experience in the financial services/banking/insurance industry
  • Experience with third party risk programs, particularly internal affiliates in the financial services/banking/insurance industry
  • Experience identifying, evaluating and recommending strategic alternatives to Sr. Management
  • Problem solver who can recognize issues and recommend alternatives to solving problems
  • Ability to communicate abstract concepts and recommendations to Sr. Management both verbally and visually
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision to achieve Program objectives
