Engility is hiring a Risk Management Engineer to be responsible for risk management through the entire project and program life cycle. You will work both independently and in a team based environment to identify risk, craft risk mitigation plans, and report regularly on the progress of the mitigation plans. You will help establish risk policy for the organization and train other risk managers on how to execute that policy.

Perform other duties as assigned to include:

  • Interact with various risk teams to promote standardized risk practices across the organization
  • Evaluate risk mitigation plans to determine their efficacy and realism towards buying down the risk/issue
  • Assist program / project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on risk/issue identification and mitigation progress
  • Interact regularly with the other systems engineering lifecycles of requirements, configuration management, schedule, and lifecycle/readiness
  • Participate with other stake-holder team members to maintain efficient and effective change management processes, procedures and systems
  • Attend meetings and assist with determination of project and program requirements
  • Report status of risk management as and when required
  • Track the progress of mitigation plans being performed
  • Maintain a database of risks/issues/opportunities
  • Brief senior level management, program managers and teammates


  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years work experience strongly desired; 5 years of related experience in systems engineering required
  • Proficiency in MS Project including critical path analysis
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Ability to think-on-your-feet, adapt as situations change and make the best possible decisions with the information at-hand
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
