Toss that suit and tie and come work with the movers and shakers, those few that represent the pinnacle of human achievement. NASA. Make a difference. Change your life. and others.
We are looking for a Mac System Administrator with five or more years of experience to manage a collection of workstations in the Atmospheres laboratories of the Earth Science Division (ESD) at NASA/GSFC. These workstations run a variety of operating systems including macOS, Microsoft Windows and Linux; the Mac System Administrator will be primarily responsible for managing Mac systems but will be expected to assist with Windows and, to some degree, Linux systems. NASA uses Jamf to manage its Mac infrastructure; therefore experience with the Jamf management tool is necessary. Experience with other patch and configuration management systems is a plus, especially for other operating systems.
The Mac System Administrator will work directly with scientists to enable their data processing and scientific needs while implementing NASA security policy; therefore strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed. And as a result of this environment, previous experience in a scientific computing environment is advantageous.
• At least five years experience managing Mac computer systems
• At least one year experience with the Jamf management tool
• Knowledge of other configuration and patch management tools
