We are hiring for a Help desk specialist for a US army project in Picatinny, NJ.

Job Description

IT Help Desk Analyst / Specialist with at least 5-6 years of work experience in the help desk role.

Provides support to end users on a variety of issues.

Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.

Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.

Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.

Cares about being a part of a quality team.


  • Provide assistance to end-users by following proper procedures and protocols.
  • Daily Morning checks for system availability and notify POCs of any issues
  • Ensure that processing issues are communicated to other team members.
  • Communicate/report production delays and expected resolution timeframes with the user community during processing disruptions.
  • Demonstrates willingness & ability to float to areas within their scope of practice as necessary.
  • Provides customer service to all employees and customers. Works effectively and professionally with employees, company executives and other department managers and supervisors.
  • Responsible for creating/answering tickets arriving to the Helpdesk inbox in a timely manner as per the SOP.
  • Creating/disabling SAP user accounts
  • Support end users by answering calls or looking into tickets submitted through the help desk software
  • Research the problem, isolate the issue and provide timely resolution and follow-up steps.
  • Willingness to learn and support new applications
  • Create helpdesk procedural documents.
  • Should be patient and courteous when dealing with end users.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of SAP Net Weaver portal would be great.
  • Help desk certification would be an added bonus
  • Knowledge on how a help desk ticket system works
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools

Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Technology. 5-6 years of experience supporting help desk.
