GrammaTech is a provider of cyber security software solutions and software research services solving some of the world’s most completed security problems. We are looking for an experienced government sales professional to join our growing company.


Working with a leading developer of software-assurance tools and advanced cyber-security solutions, you will develop a solid understanding of all government and defense contractor sales opportunities. This role’s main responsibilities identifying and developing new business with the US Government, including departments and agencies within the DOD, the military services, other Federal Government agencies, and other Federal Government / Defense contractors.

A secondary—but extremely important—role is expanding GrammaTech’s existing relationships with Federal Government:

  • Organizations currently using our cyber-security / software assurance solutions
  • Advanced research and development organizations

Expanding these relationships will increase sales and increase GrammaTech’s cutting edge R&D work for incorporation into our commercial products.

This work will include joint calls, and the ability to communicate and effectively coordinate growth initiatives across the sales team, with a main focus on Government agencies.

A successful candidate will:

  • Possess a deep understanding & ability to network & navigate US Government agencies
  • Build trusted relationships with customers, contractors and subcontractors
  • Visit new and existing customers to maintain positive relationships
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop, design, and deliver high-quality sales presentations targeting both business and highly technical audiences
  • Coordinate sales demonstrations at key government and defense contractor sites
  • Travel domestically up to 25% depending on customer needs

Other desirable skills include one or more of:

  • Experience selling software security products into the US Government
  • Experience selling cybersecurity software research services into the US Government
  • Experience regularly acting as a Government purchaser, reviewer, Program Manager, or COTR for software security products, cybersecurity software research services, or both
  • Forecasting and meeting established financial sales goals (quota) for established accounts



  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience with the Federal Government and defense contractors, or 10 years of experience in the Government managing and directing cybersecurity operations / research
  • Solid network including business relationships and contacts within government agencies including NSA, DHS, DARPA, ONR, AFRL, NIST, NAVA, NASA, CERDEC – Army, NAVAIR, OSD, NSF, IARPA, MDA (Missile Defense Agency) and the military services
  • Proven sales success and expertise selling technical solutions and services into varying branches of the US Government including the DOD, branches of the military, and defense contractors including Lockheed, Northrup Grumman, Raytheon, General Dynamics, and Boeing
  • Government Trade Show experience representing software products and/or services
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Due to US export control laws, must be a Those authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship are encouraged to apply., permanent resident or have protected status


  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree a plus.
