Position Summary:

The Inside Sales Manager (ISM) will monitor sales metrics and oversee the entire sales administration process. The ISM will supervise the inside sales team and assist with development of processes, procedures, and implement technologies to assist the organization with achieving sales targets and goals. An active, transferable DOE-Q clearance is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day to day workflow of a 20+ person sales team located throughout the United States; 5+ direct reports
  • Revise and implement the sales incentive program for the inside sales team
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with the Inside Sales Team and Business Unit Directors to ensure all goals are being met
  • Create process improvements to streamline the sales process
  • Assist the Inside Sales Team to ensure questions are being answered and thoroughly explained
  • Develop and optimize training and retention of inside sales team
  • Work with human resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels and that recruiting efforts are compliant
  • Foster a fun, high-energy environment where inside sales team members can thrive and impact the business
  • Monitor inbound opportunities and track the effectiveness of Sales and Marketing programs
  • Review open orders on a regular basis, working with all departments at Wildflower to ensure timely delivery and overall customer satisfaction
  • Manage customer feedback program and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Onboard new inside sales team hires and provide ongoing training to tenured staff members
  • Develop and track the career development goals and execution of each inside sales team member
  • Implement strategies to boost sales and meet corporate revenue goals
  • Liaise between Inside Sales teams and OEM/Distribution partners to grow strategic OEM business

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Necessary skills include; organization, effective oral and written communication, strong interpersonal, above average math, problem solving, analytical, and being proficient with standard industry productivity tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Attitude and appearance appropriate for a business office are to be maintained
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high demand, team orientated, and fast paced environment
  • Ability to manage a large team without physically being in the same office building
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to resolve problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coach, boost-up, and motivate sales teams

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Sales and/or Marketing, or equivalent/relative experience is required
  • Demonstrated experience of successfully leading, managing, and developing a sales team
  • Active, transferable DOE-Q clearance
