V-Soft Consulting is currently seeking a SalesForce Commerce Cloud/Demandware Engineer for our premier client in King of Prussia, PA. This is a full-time, direct hire position in the telecommunication industry.



As a Senior JavaScript Engineer, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, the incumbent will translate business requirements into technical development, design schemas and integrate with the platform and into other internal and third-party systems. Incumbent will work closely with product owners, UX and Creative designers, other commerce developers, dev ops engineers, and architects on the Digital team.



Technical Requirements and Certifications »

  • Must have strong experience developing commerce applications with recent SFCC (Salesforce commerce cloud) experience.
  • Mastery of ecommerce implementation specifically on SFCC (Salesforce commerce cloud) platform, MVC Pattern, Eclipse/Visual Studio Code, Grunt/Gulp/NPM/ANT- primarily gulp.
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases.
  • Expert level knowledge and experience on SFCC (Demandware) Site genesis framework.


Education and Experience »

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Generally, 6+ years direct experience developing interactive web applications and mobile applications.
  • 5+ years’ experience in systems integration and custom development, commercial package implementation with multiple commerce platforms.
  • JS expert that’s up to date on the latest standards.
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »

  • General functional programming experience is a plus.
  • Functional reactive programming is a plus, as it would pertain to our progressive web app to some degree.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of web development best practices (SEO, accessibility, CSRF, XSS mitigation) as well as emerging development trends.
  • Sound knowledge & hands on experience using ISMLs, JS Controllers, pipelines, Demandware scripts, OCAPI and setting up Business Manager Configuration.
  • Integration experience with multiple third-party vendors using LINK partner cartridges. This includes, but not limited to, Payment gateway solutions, Loyalty vendors, Ratings & Reviews, Social Networking sites etc.
  • Experience with standard JS Frameworks/Libs such as Angular/jQuery/React is plus.
  • Forward thinker that’s self-motivated and is in touch with other technologies, which helps to provide a broader understanding to technology and problem solving.
  • A fast learner who can efficiently break problems down by logically deducing the problem point(s) and/or data needs and sources.
  • Able to effectively communicate with all members of the Digital team, both technical and non-technical.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.



Job Responsibilities »

  • Obtain a full understanding of the server-side implementation specific to the  storefront.
  • Develop Digital Consumer experiences based on a foundation of SFCC (Salesforce Commerce Cloud), and other internal  Systems.
  • Develop digital commerce features such as search, product details, personalization, and merchandising features such as catalog, pricing promotions etc.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager in architecting solutions around customer experience; supporting our main desktop site, progressive web application, native iOS app, and custom in-store digital customer experiences
  • Participate in building and consulting on the architecture of solutions using Commerce Cloud’s Open Commerce API (Shop, & Data APIs).
  • Review and merge all SFCC related pull-requests acting as the default reviewer for the process.
  • Build and maintain a collection of tests for back-end scripts.
  • Interact with product owners, stakeholders and other external partners to create end-to-end specifications for digital commerce and customer experience solutions.
  • Implement Salesforce Commerce Cloud solutions as released by the Commerce Cloud product team
  • Diagnose and solve technical problems related to commerce implementation.
  • Work pro-actively and collaboratively across internal departments to implement solutions impacting other functional groups e.g. Information Technology, Fulfillment, Marketing
  • Define best practices to implement non-functional requirements like performance and scalability of the ecommerce solution.
  • Diagnose and solve technical problems related to commerce implementation.
  • Follow best practices to help ensure performance and scalability of the ecommerce solution are maintained.
