Artemis is NASA's human spaceflight program, with international and commercial partnerships, that has the goal of landing the first woman and next man on the Moon, serving as a precursor to Mars human exploration. The function of this position is to provide technical Program/project scheduling of new human spaceflight systems as well as developing and maintaining HEO SE&I-level schedules. Program/project scheduler for NASA Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) office for Human Exploration and Operations (HEO) Mission Directorate

What You'll Be Doing
  • Provide technical scheduling that includes programmatic monitoring, assessment, and insight of new elements related to human spaceflight capabilities development
  • Serve as the technical scheduler POC for the HEO SE&I with responsibility for developing and maintaining an accurate and timely schedule that will serve as a basis for new system programmatic and technical planning
  • Provide schedule integration by representing HEO SE&I in HEO- and lower-level forums, as requested
  • Develop and maintain a process to capture milestones, record changes, and disseminate schedule information within and outside of HEO SE&I, as needed
  • Work closely with the Strategy and Architectures' teams, develop an informed schedule that integrates programmatic and technical products, such as required documents for key formulation milestones
  • Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, to react quickly to changing requirements and schedules, and to provide products of consistently high quality.
  • Communicate effectively and be able to summarize and present analysis findings to both Aerospace and NASA Senior Staff
  • Operate under the direction of Government personnel, the Aerospace Task lead, or other contractors placed in leadership positions within the team as the situation demands
  • Effectively work with multiple projects simultaneously
  • Limited travel (10%) may be required to support customer site meetings
  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned as needed

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in management, engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience required, such as knowledge of spaceflight systems, knowledge of the Artemis Program, knowledge of NASA development lifecycle, and knowledge of NASA requirements and guidelines
  • This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
  • In depth knowledge with NASA and commercial human spaceflight programs
  • Experience in supporting customers and customer deliverables
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required

How You Can Stand Out
  • Experience in space systems engineering, NASA's programmatic life cycle, schedule analysis, and/or acquisition
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of programmatic and portfolio analysis tools and databases and methodologies, including commercially available and in-house capabilities
