Job Description

The Security Analytics Web Developer will be responsible for the design, build and management of a new custom web portal for Cyber Reporting from the ground up. The platform will support a wide range of users from Security and Business executives down to support level users responsible for remediation. The developer is expected to work independently with management on creating a portal to visualize and report information security issues and strategies, manage new and existing requirements and fully document processes and solutions. This position will interface with several technologies and environments, including not limited to: Splunk, ELK (Elastic, Kibana, Logstash), MongoDB/NoSQL, RDBMS - OLAP, MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Tableau, PowerBI, among others.

Job Specific Responsibilities

Design, develop, document and manage a custom web platform capable of integration with and handling several large datasets and presentation layers

Monitor, maintain, and refresh source code repositories, creation and documentation of code promotion processes

Translate business requirements and shape them into technical specifications

Candidate Requirements

5+ years of web development and SDLC experience

Mastery of at least one of the following: Java, Javascript, PHP, Python, .NET, HTML, CSS along with image and reporting libraries

Data modeling and schema design

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting information to groups

Must have strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills

Ability to manage time and priorities with multiple tasks and projects.

Self-starter mentality and the ability to think outside the box.

Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and skills, including independent decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

BS in computer science/engineering or related field

Fundamental knowledge of firewalls, networking, operating systems, databases, and storage, both at a functional level to understand data that is in scope

Strong design background with an understanding of how to deliver reporting details in an elegant manner

Strong understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies knowledge to support the needs of critical systems and projects.

Experience with repository management systems (GIT, etc).

Experience with enterprise-scale operations and maintenance environments
