About the Role:


Our Security Sales Engineers are linchpins providing Pre-Sales technical solutions in support of Account Management team strategy with the goal of positioning enterprise security solutions that enable our customer to transform their security awareness. This position will report to the VP, Emerging Technology and will support the Account Teams during sales calls, sales campaigns and other client activities. Our Engineers will participate in technical presentations to provide a holistic view of the overall architecture being recommended given customer requirements.

In addition, Sales Engineers will maintain a productive relationship with the Account Team and customers and strive towards having open and continuous communication. They will be responsible for conducting or participating in various meetings, conference calls, Proof of Concepts, Product Evaluations, and actively update the Account Team with new information as necessary.


What You ll Do:


Provide Pre-Sales technical solutions support to the account teams: drive revenue targets, conduct discovery meetings to understand the client s technology environment, and whiteboard solutions in an articulate way that flows and illustrate the purpose
Capture and process the customer information to build a solid proposed solution that addresses the requirements while considering the solution s efficiency, flexibility, scalability, reliability, and availability
Proactively follow-up with customer as requested and required with punctuality
Actively participate in the solution configuration process with the Inside Sales Representative and ensure the software/hardware order is accurate and complete
Build and maintain strong relationships with team members and associated Manufactures;
Provide on-site assistance as needed to address and resolve issues

Provide Post-Sales technical solutions support when needed: participate in the installation of some of the solutions
Assist with technical scoping/review for Statement of Work (SOW) for assigned accounts
Obtain and/or maintain current and ongoing manufacturing certifications as required
Engage and meet with clients on a regular basis
Work with the account teams to develop a security sales strategy
Build good working relationship with the corporate teams to ensure the region understands offerings, capabilities and supported products.


Qualifications & Interests:


A minimum of 10 years experience with security architectures including perimeter defense, cloud/infrastructure, identity and access management, application security, threat defense and risk/compliance
Bachelor s degree from an accredited university, preferred
Industry recognized certifications within various parts of the security architecture
An understanding of business environments and challenges of IT operations in the typical corporation
Prior experience working for a Consulting or Technology company performing similar type duties
Strong experience designing technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies
Knowledge and familiarity with adjacent technology areas including cloud, data intelligence and IoT
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills; able to comfortably communicate and present in front of C-Level Executives, VPs and Directors
Strong understanding of how clients use technology to meet business objectives
Familiarity with the local district markets
Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well with people from many different disciplines
Ability to lead and mentor other engineers
Strong ability to operate independently and manage multiple projects and priorities
Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment
Ability to approach customer and sales requests with a proactive and consultative manner; listen and understand user requests and needs and effectively deliver
Comfortable managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment
Strong ability to operate independently
Conflict negotiation and problem-solving skills and agility
Ability to travel up to 30 percent of the time
