GEICO is seeking a Senior Android Software Engineer to implement cutting edge Android applications for our internal Auto Damage adjuster team. Understand project requirements and convert functional specifications into technical designs
Create wireframes and mockups of mobile applications
Develop Android mobile applications using Java
Test and verify that the applications meet the initial functional specifications
Mentor contractor developers
Support deployment and triage production issues
A Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required
3+ years of Java development experience
2+ years of Android Application development
Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Design Patterns
Experience using Bitbucket and Git
Experience with Volley, Glide, Crashlytics, and Butterknife
Experience in consuming REST web services and communicating with external systems
Capable of working with business and design teams for rapid prototyping and interface design
Highly motivated, excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
