Senior Business Analyst/ Process Specialist-Master Six Sigma Black Belt Certified

Role Description:
In a team environment, the Senior Business Analyst - Process Specialist researches, develops, and documents current business processes and makes minor recommendations for improving efficiency. The primary purpose of this role is to work in partnership with the Project team and the Subject Matter Experts in the business areas of the Public Defender and Alternate Defender Offices to identify proposed business processes, and aid in the development of and confirm best-practice business processes and procedures within JustWare and document them for incorporation into training materials.  In addition, the Senior Business Analyst - Process Specialist makes minor process recommendations than can be immediately incorporated into training materials. 
Skills Requirement: 
  • Principles and practices of business analysis, definition, assessment and documentation for end-users;
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills;
  • Strong meeting organization and facilitation skills;
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, multiple-priority environment;
  • Understand highly complex information technology systems and methodologies;
  • Ability to work effectively with County stakeholders and executive management;
  • Experience
  • Ability to work closely with agencies and departments to assist with operational change management, end user adoption and system implementation;
  • Knowledge of local criminal justice systems.
Experience Requirement:
  • 5 years of experience in a business and technical process role assessing, improving and documenting processes;
  • 5 years of experience in  the identification of efficient business processes in a unfamiliar business environment;
  • Application Software evaluation;
  • Legacy application change management;
  • Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Visio, and SnagIt or equivalent software;
  • Results-driven with acute attention to detail and accuracy.
Education Requirement:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
  • Standards based process assessment methodology certification
  • Review documentation and business/functional requirements;
  • Perform standards-based assessment of proposed processes that fulfill business requirements;
  • Facilitate process and procedures workshops (and use other communication methods as needed) with project team members and Subject Matter Experts where the following will be accomplished:
  • Review proposed processes and procedures and discuss the standards and workflows for each one;
  • Collaborate on any changes;
  • Document final processes and procedures to be incorporated in to the training materials;
  • Perform gap analysis of proposed processes and identify opportunities for immediate improvement and automation; develop roadmap to resolve long-term process gaps and provide final report including findings, options, recommendations;
  • Contribute to the production of training materials as needed;
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Monitoring and Reporting Expectations: 
The Senior Business Analyst - Process Specialist will submit a bi-weekly status report to the Hiring Manager that will include the following at a minimum: 
  • Hours and work performed per day
  • Dates Accomplishments/Milestones Completed
  • Status of project deliverables and milestones
  • Risks
  • Issues or constraints
  • Planned activities for following period
