Job Description

Our direct client has an opening for a Senior Business Analyst to join their growing team. The incumbent will collaborate with business owners/stakeholder to understand business needs, processes project specifications and business case development for the implementation of a new claims and payment platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of complex processes to support business unit needs, conducts more complex impact analyses and interprets more complex system requirements, and uses Project Management Techniques. 
  • The Senior Business Analyst takes a lead role in communicating effectively with management, steering committees, project sponsors, and subject matter/technical experts and promotes a culture of performance excellence. 
  • May mentor less experienced team members.
  • Translates business needs into clearly defined and documented detailed, high quality requirements, functional designs, and system supplemental specifications for new applications or analyzes change requests/enhancements in existing applications.
  • Work with more senior team members, customers, Software Engineers, Architects, and Managers to assist in capturing capability needs and driving quality business solutions.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, customers, partners and management, including assisting with or conducting requirement walkthroughs and sprint reviews, reporting project status, enabling vendor solutions and providing accurate and concise documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Educational requirements: Bachelors Degree required
  • Experience with system upgrades
  • Previous experience documenting system processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of flows and how systems interact
  • Experience with migrations to a new tool
  • Documenting current and future state
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
