Overview: Our client is seeking a strong Business Analyst (BA) to support their team, who will combine IT expertise with knowledge of Automation systems and cloud computing to build on our existing Historian product line, which is used cross-sector and at more than 40 manufacturing sites in alignment with IT regional/global strategy, standards, and processes. In this role, you will be responsible for Historian enterprise business demands and support the Product Owner (PO) of Historians to deliver data historian capabilities across the globe.

Responsibilities:

The BA for Historians is responsible for delivering the Historian product line and driving increased leverage of the standard products across all regions and sectors. The resource will need to understand the concept of data historians related to manufacturing.

Strategic Mindset: The BA will work closely with regional and global business owners and help define a clear vision for the Historian product line. The main product is OSIsoft PI.

The role will contribute to the multi-generation product strategy and roadmap that maximizes ROI by identifying and prioritizing the product features by business value.

Internal Partnerships: Manage business partners' expectations to support solutions that may not be ideal for a site or function but are optimal for J&J.

Partner with key business stakeholders and BTLs to identify the business's priorities and product needs and negotiate with the company to determine IT capacity with top business priorities.

Experience working across multiple levels of the organization, being able to influence decisions related to Historian product choice & implementation.

Will be responsible for test, release, and change management for the platform solution. Collaborate with IT support groups (PMO, TS, etc.) for Build & Run activities.

Product Management: The BA will support the Historian Platform /products deployed in all regions/sectors and work with the vendors to drive issue backlogs and fix and evaluate potential SaaS solutions.

Identifies and drives repeatability of solutions for the Historian platform working with Domain and Enterprise architects.

Drives standardization and consistency of Historian platform & solutions deployed globally that can meet business objectives and service levels.

Integration: The BA will support any integrations to help business needs.

Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; A Bachelor's or higher in computer science or engineering is required.

A minimum of 4 years of related IT experience is required. Experience with the historian products (OSIsoft PI) and cloud computing, automation environments & systems is preferred.

Knowledge of industry and business process trends related to Product Lifecycle Management and respective capabilities is preferred.

Experience with Agile System Development methodologies, including Agile tools like JIRA.

Process Design / Business Requirement Analysis skills.

The ability to understand and work across multiple business domains is required.

Must have technology-based innovation and proven knowledge with application integrations, data analytics (reporting), SaaS, and non-SaaS solutions.

Effective communication and critical thinking skills are required.

Must have relationship management skills to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

Must have well-developed facilitation and presentational skills.

Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.

The base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $165,000 or the hourly equivalent.
