GEICO'S innovative Actuary Systems Team is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to participate in various Actuary Systems projects. Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of professional experience as a BI developer/engineer. Candidates must have a strong customer focus and be willing to develop good business knowledge. Successful candidates will excel working independently as well as part of a team, show an appropriate sense of urgency, effectively multi-task across multiple projects, and provide production support. Strong verbal and written communication will be extremely important in this position as there will be interaction with our internal business customers.

3+years' experience working with BI tools (WEBFOCUS, Power BI, MicroStrategy, Qlikview etc.)
5+years' experience writing advanced SQL queries
3+ years' experience with designing, building and deploying BI solutions (e.g.reporting tools)
Experience in designing dashboards and other solutions using BI tools
Ability to evaluate existing reports for improving visualization and report viewing experience
Experience with data warehouse design and data modeling
Ability to learn new tools and technologies as needed
Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
Develop and update technical documentation
Good understanding of BI Tools Infrastructure and Architecture
Good understanding of Windows and Linux server technologies
Good understanding of Web Services /ESB / XML
Oracle / SQL Server
Cobol / CICS
