Job Description

AceInfo is currently seeking a Senior Capture Manager to support work at or Corpoarte office in Reston, VA.



Project Overview:

The Senior Capture Manager will lead and win new business pursuits and critical re-competes and is responsible for the full capture life-cycle of assigned opportunities in support of the market strategy.

The selected individual must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-directed individual who possesses strong interpersonal and organizational skills. This position will be located in Reston, VA with frequent travel to customer sites (DC Metro and occasional trips outside of the area) as required.






  • Develop and implement capture plans, strategies, and budgets; will have a firm comprehension of the customer’s requirements, hot buttons, and issues; understand the strengths/weaknesses of our competitors; and will develop/implement winning strategies that highlight strengths and mitigate weaknesses
  • Develop, organize and execute capture activities including call plans, gap analyses, and value propositions, and building teams adhering to internal AceInfo processes.
  • Provide critical leadership from early capture strategy development through the post-submission phases of proposal. The Senior Capture Manager will formulate, communicate, and implement an integrated capture and proposal strategy that provides customers with a clear and defendable justification for selecting AceInfo.
  • Establish value-added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to deliver a profitable return at a winning price
  • Prepare and present opportunity, capture, and solution strategy briefings for senior management


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; 10+ years of related experience in capture management
  • Leadership skills to develop, organize, and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, ensuring execution of customer call plans to shape acquisitions in order to respond to and win business with new and existing customers.
  • Extensive knowledge, experience, and success in winning captures of opportunities over $50M
  • Demonstrable understanding of all contract types (non-IDIQ, IDIQ - single or multiple award contracts), as well as payment types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus).
  • Ability to work and execute a quick reaction process for all government responses.
  • Possess knowledge of competitors and marketplace issues and opportunities
  • Possess ability to motivate and energize a team to produce a winning solution
  • Experience supporting the Proposal Manager throughout the proposal development lifecycle as the focal point for the Capture/Business Development of the opportunity
  • Ability to develop and implement creative strategies into winning bids including a thorough understanding of price-to-win analysis
  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills, presentation skills, and organizational time management skills
  • Experience coordinating the activities of dispersed teams and teammates
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leadership team to develop sound, executable business development strategies
  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualification:

  • Proven track record of leading and winning previous capture efforts
  • Evidence of expanding company presence in DoD, USDA and/or Commerce.
  • Experience with federal government budget, investments and acquisition processes.
  • Experience leading capture and competitive analysis efforts and strategies for opportunities utilizing a variety of cost structures including time-and-material, firm-fixed-price, and cost-plus.
  • Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, program managers, and peers across AceInfo.
  • A proven history and bias for action and an orientation towards solving rather than solely identifying problem areas is a preferred characteristic of the ideal candidate.
  • Familiarity with Software Engineering, Infrastructure Modernization and/or Cloud Engineering.
