We are seeking engineers to help configure a complete virtual Advanced Driver Assistance Systems ( ADAS) simulation platform for the testing of autonomous vehicle systems under different environments, conditions and traffic scenarios. This role is responsible for bringing together various pieces of a complete ADAS solution such as detailed radar/lidar/camera models, control software, world scenes creation, vehicle dynamics, etc and providing a system level response. This engineering role is on-site at a tier 1 automotive supplier with a focus on ADAS and will aspire to become an expert in providing validated system responses to a particular world scenario. This role will be a member of a world class solutions engineering team that is helping create safe system designs in the ever more complex, connected, and autonomous automotive world.
-Incorporates and integrates from different sources: global traffic scenes, sensor simulations, control software and vehicle dynamics to create a system level simulation environment by developing customer specific GUIs, APIs, Scripts, etc.
-Builds connectivity of system scenario to the overall simulation loop
-Correlates simulation results against test data
-Creates and maintains validation test suite
-Designs and executes virtual testing of autonomous vehicles using system level simulations of traffic scenarios
-Mentors/trains client user base of the ADAS project on methodology and deployment of system level modeling
-Helps deploy ANSYS managed workflows
-Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics
-A minimum of 3 years of experience with system modeling tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, Simplorer, Visual Basic, Python, APIs, etc
-A minimum of 5 years of experience in simulation and testing of complex systems such as autonomous vehicles
-Knowledge of component and system validation in a virtual environment
-Understanding of C/C++
-Support in design and testing of vehicle dynamics models
-Excellent organizational and communication skills
-Self-driven and highly motivated team player
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a good team player
-Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English
-Master's in engineering or physics preferred
-Experience and knowledge in control theory and vehicle dynamics is a plus
-Experience with the following is preferred: CarSim, CarMaker from IPG, VIRES and/or VRX from Optis
-Ability to work independently, as well as with others in a diverse team environment
-Ability to travel up to 20%
