GCS, Inc. has an exciting opening for a Senior Acquisition Analyst to support our client in Washington, DC!
Perform various contract administration responsibilities, which include all functions from cradle to grave to support an effective acquisition strategy
Prepares Requests for Proposals (RFP)/Invitation for Bids (IFB), prepares cost and price analysis and selects appropriate terms and conditions for contracts
Assists in the development of writing performance criteria and requirements into sound/sufficient Statement of Work and or task/orders
Assists in the development of independent Government Cost Estimates and the development of source selection criteria
Coordinates and works with the technical experts and the contracting office to ensure project milestones are reflected in the contractual documents and project plan
Assists with the planning, preparing, and maintaining of the current acquisition plans and overall program office acquisition administration functions to include program control and tracking
Performs and evaluates market research and trends; prepares negotiation memorandums and contract modifications for Contracting Officer (CO)
Works with the CO in documenting evaluation of performance, contract termination and contract closeout
Develops strategies and executes action necessary to address SAP actions, RFQs, RSPs, IFBs
Develops strategies to assist the customer in determining the appropriate action for both firm-fixed priced as well as cost contracts
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
Current TS/SCI (CI Polygraph desired)
Must have12+ years of progressively complex government contract experience
Experience in administrating and managing firm fixed price, time and materials, and cost reimbursable contracts
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) and acquisition planning
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities within a team environment
Excellent oral and verbal communication skills
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
