Primary Responsibilities:Conduct SAS programming and analytics that support research and reporting projectsCollect, clean, manipulate, analyze, interpret, and organize data into reports in support of research and reporting effortsWorks in collaboration with other team members, or independently, to produce desired products. Most products will support a robust research effort, but may occasionally include producing standardized reportsCoaches other team members on programming and analytics as appropriateDevelops innovative approaches that improve efficiency and accuracy of analytic or reporting productsOccasionally interacts with clients to understand their needs, or when sharing results

Required Qualifications:Master's degree in biometrics or similar statistical background, and a minimum of five years' experience analyzing healthcare data5+ years of experience using SAS, including: Data warehouse/data marts experience, Version SAS 9.4 or better experience, SAS Macros experience, Fluent in SAS EG and other SAS tools, Sysparms experience (5+ years), SQL experience (5+ years)5+ years of experience utilizing healthcare informatics, such as medical and pharmaceutical claims dataProven ability to work independently to:Perform advanced statistical modeling and analyticsAdjust for case mix and survey non-response differences using propensity score and other methodsConduct multiple regressions, such as linear regressions, logistic regressions, analysis of variance, etc.Perform model diagnostics for correlations, collinearites, and model fitOrganize findings using Microsoft office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Preferred Qualifications:Ability to conduct analyses using longitudinal data, as well as on medical and prescription drug cost dataUNIX experience Symmetry Grouper experienceUse of Oracle, Db2 and Teradata warehouseExperience with Stata, R, Python Careers with Optum.
