NTD seeks an individual that will improve the quality of everything that we deliver, which includes the system software and tools which enable developers to deliver their games on Nintendo platforms such as Nintendo Switch.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Delivers end-to-end complex engineering projects and proactively identifies opportunities & risks at a module level. Acts as a resource and mentor for other engineers.
  • Scopes and executes projects involving multiple engineers
  • Consistently delivers high-quality and performant code or hardware solutions that set standards
  • Effectively debugs complex problems
  • Makes pragmatic design decisions identifying risks, trade-offs, and alternatives
  • Performs complex design and implementation
  • Identifies problems with requirements and helps course-correct around these issues
  • Identifies and resolves dependencies impacting the team
  • Analyzes existing processes and technologies for short-comings and makes recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborates with peer groups at Nintendo Co., Ltd. (NCL) and its subsidiaries
  • Provides coaching and mentorship to other engineers and is a key piece of the hiring process
  • Up to 10% travel; domestic and international
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS
  • 5-8 years related experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of embedded software/hardware design, application software design and emerging technologies
  • Comprehensive knowledge of real-time interactive platform technologies and industry related trends
  • Highly proficient in their domain and knowledgeable in diverse technologies
  • Mastery of C, C++, C# or equivalent
  • Fluency in Japanese a plus
  • BS or MS in engineering or equivalent
  • Valid passport may be required
