Job Description

Title: HR Systems Analyst / HRIS systems management

Location: Arlington, VA

Duration: Permanent Hire



  • Provides analytical, reporting and administrative support for the development, implementation and administration of the association’s human resources systems.
  • Ensures data accuracy across multiple HRIS platforms including but not limited to: Oracle R12 (iRecruit, Core, Compensation Workbench), ADP Workforce Now, Cornerstone, Jibe, MarketPay, Higher Logic, and OrgPublisher.
  • Collaborates with HR team members to perform various audits to verify and ensure accuracy and consistency of data entry and our source HRIS system.
  • Partners with end users to effectively leverage the Association’s HRIS capabilities including, but not limited to, streamlining and improving existing business processes.
  • Assists in gathering requirements to inform the selection and implementation of HRIS system solutions.
  • Creates and maintains of system process and relevant procedures documentation.
  • Develops reports related to on-going and ad hoc requests for workforce data.
  • Resolves HR end-user issues and trains HR team members as needed.
  • Communicates program features to employees and addresses employee questions and issues.
  • Trains end users on time entry and employee self-service products for new hires and current employees.


Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Systems or relevant education.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • CCP, SHRM and HRCI certifications desired.
  • 5–7 years of experience of HRIS systems management is required.
  • Experience working with/supporting compensation administration and other HR functions is required.
  • Experience with MarketPay, Oracle Compensation Workbench (Oracle HRIS R12), ADP Workforce NOW and technical experience with Manager and Employee Self Service support is strongly preferred.
  • Advance skills in MS Excel and MS Access required
  • Strong MS Word and SharePoint experience desired or required.
  • Experience with reporting applications, which includes developing, creating and responding to report requests and matrix dashboards is required.
  • Demonstrated on the job and proven through prior work experience
  • Ability to articulate and document business requirements that translate to system functionality.
  • Knowledge of HR programs and policies along with a commitment to HR principles of confidentiality.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes and quickly incorporate them into the daily work routine.
  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse membership, employees and/or vendors in a clear and precise manner.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines with multiple projects and priorities at various stages of development using effective organization skills with an attention to detail.
  • Ability foster collaboration and build consensus while operating in a fast-moving environment as demonstrated by prior work experience.
  • Ability to build productive internal/ external working relationships and effectively interact with others, working in a team environment and providing follow-up when needed.
  • Ability to analyze system/data/functional/integration impacts and to define issues, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, applying them to work environment.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations and/or training workshops
  • Ability to listen and interpret the customer’s needs, de-escalate difficult customer calls, while at the same time researching the issue and applying broad business and technical knowledge to meet the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) in the day-to-day essential duties of the job.
