Sr. IT System/Storage Administrator
The job entails supporting and administrating the system applications, Microsoft-centric system infrastructure and sizable network storage system within the IT topology. The primary goal of the position is to provide maximum availability, performance and smooth operation of the applications, systems and storage hosted by Client.
The IT System Administrator provides high-level technical support, creates and maintains application documentation, maintains hardware and software standards, maintains the highest-level of security and integrity of remote access and works projects and tasks as needed in order to upgrade to new and/or improved security, equipment or procedures. This position requires excellent analytical, problem management, organization, communication, and customer service skills.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Oil and Gas exploration industry experience preferred
Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience as a Service Expert, Sr. Administrator
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Sr. Storage Administrator or Engineer preferably with NetApp storage systems
Bachelor s Degree or equivalent required
Certifications (MCSE) preferred
Original, creative thinker with the ability to formulate and express a contrarian viewpoint
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Managing large NAS with large number and sized volumes comprising of over ~6PB of total storage
FAS8040, 8060 & FAS8200 multi-node Primary and Secondary tiered storage
Clustered Data OnTAP9 / cDOT 9.3P7 and higher operating system
Disaster Recovery and Data Preservation systems of NetApp Archival FabricPool and Archive StorageGrid
Working knowledge with backup and restores via NetApp SnapMirror, Snapshot and Vault processes
Normal daily monitoring and maintenance of the system, storage capacity (Aggregates / Volumes), CIFS and mapped drive/DFS shares
Strong knowledge of Server Virtualization (VCenter server & VMware preferred)
Strong knowledge of Server & desktop Symantec Antivirus software
Active Directory & Group Policy configuration / administration
Strong technical writing / documentation skills for system infrastructure
Microsoft-centric environment (Infrastructure - O365, Domain 2008, ADFS & SQL 2012/2016; Desktop-Windows 7/10)
Help Desk/Change Request configuration management
Server & desktop / patch management distribution software (ManageEngine DCA)
Additional Competencies Needed:
General scripting skills for command line executions
Understanding of MS Exchange environment (O365 & SharePoint)
Experienced with Microsoft infrastructure upgrades
Mobile communication systems:
- iPhones & iPads
- Security and control (MaaS360)
- Satellite phones
Exposure to various technologies (Virtualization, VoIP, etc.)
Remote access, Authentication & Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies (OneLogin)
Whole-disk encryption (TrendMicro & BitLocker)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task

Position requires approximately 10% domestic travel.
