I.S. Mavensis currently searching for a Senior Linux Engineer to automate server builds in support of the
implementation of DevOps / Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environments at the National
Institutes of Health (NIH). This is a contract position for an initial term of four months with potential for
Provide subject matter expertise in RedHat Linux and scripting to automate server buildouts,
standardize and harden images, and resolve technical challenges; build in support for
technologies such as Docker, Tomcat, PHP and MySQL etc. as required by development teams.
Lead innovation and the implementation of cutting edge technologies in support of creating a
continuous integration/continuous delivery environment in OpenStack.
Support the requirements gathering and documentation, analysis, design, development, testing,
demonstrating and successful deployment of continuous integration/continuous integration
Work within and across agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical
solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies.
Take ownership for the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of proposed
Create and maintain technical documentation of recommendations and solutions; write
specifications, how-to documentation, test plans, test reports, and best-practices.
Provide training for developers and systems operations personnel.
Assist in system security review, ongoing testing, risk mitigation, and remediation efforts.

negative impacts to service.
Develop and provide relevant management reports to support the project mission.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related business,
scientific, or technical discipline
5+ years of experience supporting RedHat Linux systems in a complex 24/7 enterprise
Experience implementing continuous integration/continuous delivery environments,
infrastructure as code, microservices, containers, and related tools and technologies
Demonstrated success in automating server builds, standardizing images, and managing Linux
systems via central management tools such as Satellite, Spacewalk, Puppet, Chef, etc.
Applicable certifications to demonstrate technical competencies in Linux and related tools, such
as RHCE or RHCA (especially RHCA – Cloud or RHCA – DevOps)
Strong scripting skills
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and developer tools for build automation and

Ability to work with incomplete and evolving requirements, adapting to changes with a flexible
