Details

This position is responsible for managing and improving the Verisign Security Engineering Program. The primary goal of the program is to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information resources while aligning to business goals and objectives. The Senior Manager Security Engineering is responsible for the evaluation, testing, implementation, and monitoring of all Verisign Information Security tools and systems.

Responsibilities:

Manage the Information Security engineering, personnel, applications, systems, and processes

Manage relationships with engineering, operations management, and individual contributors

Lead projects to implement new Information Security technologies

Utilize industry-standard security best practices and policies to manage Information Security tools and systems

Ensure compliance with established security incident reporting procedures

Capability to serve as a security resource to all levels including executive management

Responsible for interfacing on a regular basis with all other Technology Infrastructure departments at Verisign

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Well versed in security architecture and controls

Experience with various open source and commercial security tools

Demonstrated experience with enterprise logging products (Splunk, ELK) and SIEM integrations

Demonstrated experience with enterprise security tools such as IDS (host and network), malware detection, forensic, and behavioral analysis

Experience with vulnerability scanning with vendors such as Qualys, Rapid7, or Tenable

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage competing work assignments in a time sensitive environment

Ability to work with tight deadlines in an ever-changing environment

Experience leading teams in a direct or matrixed organization

Knowledge of a least one programming or scripting language (Python preferred)

Required Experience

Bachelor s degree or equivalent

8+ years related experience

2+ years management experience

5+ years Information Security experience

Preferred Experience

Master s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field, or equivalent

Cloud security experience

Industry certifications CISSP or CCSP
