Job Description:

Designs and plans network systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network systems. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.

-Very Good knowledge on TCP/IP stack (including subnetting, routing, ACLs, Sockets). Understanding of Link layer and bindings.

-Some understanding of DNS resolvers (Authoritative vs Recursive, Forwarders).

-Ability to work on windows platform at minimum as a hopbox.

-Comfortable in SSH remoting and OOB Devices.

-Experience with NAT, SNAT, RNAT, ACLs, firewall, routing setup.

-BGP setup and knowledge of OSPF

-Network switch configuration in various modes

-Should have Troubleshooting skills including packet captures, flow and load analysis.

-Best security practices, hardening and monitoring, especially health monitors, SNMP, App and syslogs

Certification required (Cisco and/or F5)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS or equivalent + 8 yrs related experience, or MS + 5 yrs related experience.
