As a Business Development Manager within the HPE Storage Division, you will work with our Data Protection and storage alliance partners to develop and increase business based on a strong knowledge of trends in the industry that affect the strategy and direction of the product line/line of services or solutions. HPE has a rich portfolio of data protection and secondary storage offerings that include 3PAR, StoreOnce, Recovery Manager Central, StoreEver tape and object storage offerings. Responsibilities include:


 


 


 


  • Own and develop partner relationships for HPE's secondary storage and data protection portfolio




  • Drive utilization of resources in concert with HPE and our Partners




  • Amplify HPE's profile at our Strategic Partners, by engaging their marketing, sales, and development




  • Present detailed proposals for new and existing business partners




  • Drive adoption of joint solutions inside HPE sales and marketing teams




  • Evaluate and propose the best allocation of resources to best achieve our strategy




  • Develop joint sales and marketing collateral, white papers, best practices, web content, press releases, case studies, articles, and other materials




  • Suggest strategy changes internally and with external partners




  • Lead projects that involve cross-functional coordination to provide integrated products/services/ solutions




  • Seen by sales team as an expert in the products/services/solutions and regularly is called on to defend the benefits in front of customers or partners Regional:




  • Regularly recommend product/ service/solution strategic direction to senior management




  • Often create innovative solutions to enhance sales of the product lines or line of services/solutions




  • Seen by sales team as an expert in the products/services/solutions and regularly is called on to defend the benefits in front of customers or partners




  • Influences at the vice president and above level




 


 


 


 



 



Qualifications



 


Education and Experience Required:


 


 


 


  • College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical




 


 


 


 


Knowledge and Skills Required:


 


 


 


  • 10 years in product marketing fundamentals




  • Strong leadership capabilities




  • Minimum 5 year work experience in a general marketing function beyond Product Marketing




  • Recent working relationship with Storage and Data Protection Solution Offerings




  • Understanding of Microsoft's and Amazon's Cloud Offerings for Storage




  • History of establishing new relationships within the Enterprise Infrastructure Business




  • History of developing joint solution outside of primary product teams




  • History of driving joint co-selling and co-marketing activates




  • Ability to write whitepapers, best practices, blog posts, competitive comparisons and product datasheets




  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Enterprise Infrastructure Business




  • Success in building and managing technology alliances
