REMOTE POSITION

What You’ll Do

  • Set long-term vision and strategy for products, in collaboration with other stakeholders. Monitor and report on metrics and tactics against each strategy.
  • Understand key priorities for the company and maps product strategy to company goals/objectives
  • Work with the team(s) to Identify opportunities in the market and “quick wins” that drive business impact
  • Define KPIs for measuring product success
  • Maintain product roadmaps & iteration plans
  • Generate insights from data, industry trends, and customer feedback to inform decisions on product prioritization and what goes on the roadmap
  • Partner with other stakeholders to prioritize new product features/functionality
  • Understand users’ needs and create experiences that solve those needs
  • Collaborate with UX team and development to research and envision solutions
  • Learn what customers are saying about the product, both through direct feedback and indirect feedback from sales, customer service, etc.
  • Prioritize and balance the needs of customers, stakeholders, other competing priorities, etc.
  • Execute new development work with the partnership of marketing, sales, development, editorial, project management, customer service, etc.
  • Develop requirements for new product launches
  • Work closely with development to execute fixes for bugs that critically impact the product’s performance
  • Build bridges between marketing, sales, development, editorial, project management, customer service, etc. to manage product launches and upgrades
  • Present product milestones and status to the Exec Team quarterly

 

About You

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years experience managing digital media products
  • Demonstrated success releasing software as a service products, and or full website designs on-time and on budget
  • You have successfully launched one or more mobile applications for iOS and Android
  • Working technical understanding of content management systems, marketing automation platforms and the development process
  • Experience working with recommendation systems
  • High-level understanding of recommendation engines and trend detection algorithms
  • Excellent organizational skills, process oriented thinking, strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and good grasp of business concepts.
  • Experienced with the various phases of project management including requirements gathering, business analysis, documentation, QA testing, training, and support.
  • Knowledgeable about current trends in digital media including leading web, production, and/or business enterprise vendors, as well as outsource/off-shore companies and services.
  • Excellent people skills and team oriented are essential.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Slack
  • Product Marketing experience is a plus

The Product Team has the following core responsibilities:

  1. Co-ownership of strategy and roadmap with the business team.
  2. Providing recommendations and impact statements to business owners.
  3. Delivering solutions that solve key business & customer problems.
  4. Defining the why, when, and what of the product that is being built.
  5. UI/UX design decisions.
  6. Measure, analyze and optimize product performance
