Job Description

ERP International, LLC (www.erpinternational.com) is currently seeking a Senior Proposal Manager to support the ERP Corporate office located in Laurel, Maryland. The Senior Proposal Manager will contribute to the growth of new business and retention of current business through the development of winning proposals through an end-to-end proposal management process inclusive of directing both internal and external resources.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Responsible for recommending and implementing best practice, measurable, and repeatable processes that result in winning proposals and meet organizational goals
  • Leverage experience and best practices in the development and implementation of successful proposal strategies, processes, and tools
  • Oversee corporate processes for technical proposal management, planning, writing, editing, production, and quality assurance, working collaboratively with operating divisions and business proposal staff
  • Ensure a comprehensive proposal knowledge management infrastructure, including development and maintenance of proposal guides, artifacts, templates, examples, compliance, and boilerplate text
  • Implement improvements and enhancements to the proposal management process and execution
  • Facilitate the development and distribution of appropriate proposal-related documentation, including compliance matrices, style guides, outlines, schedules, writing guidance, and kick-off presentations
  • Coordinate with the contracts and pricing staff on cost and contractual volumes to ensure appropriate schedules and inputs.
  • Author appropriate proposal sections and help design graphic concepts
  • Coordinate and attends proposal status and team meetings
  • Manage and write sections of key strategic proposals
  • Ensure that technical proposals adhere to corporate standards for quality through rigorous quality assurance procedures
  • Envision the entire proposal, ties in the win themes, reviews with the other groups, runs through daily meetings, understands and manages the entire proposal

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

  • 7+ years of experience supporting proposals for Health, Science and Technology customers
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited college or university in relevant field
  • Knowledge of the federal contracting environment and procurement processes, including RF(x) requirements
  • Demonstrated success in all phases of proposal strategy, design, and production. Candidate should have a demonstrable record of designing and producing winning multi-million dollar proposals and knowledge of proposal best practices
  • Ability to work successfully and collaboratively in a matrix environment and proven record of fostering effective team

  • Willingness to work occasional extra hours and do-whatever-it-takes to get the job done
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously; able to be hands-on as well as strategic

  • Demonstrated ability to counsel and effectively influence with and without authority; strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management; ability to project a confident leadership image to peers, subordinates and executive management.
  • High level of expertise with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
