Job Title: Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager , Procurement (Strategic Sourcing – Technology)
Duration: 6 - 12 Months
Location: Palo Alto, CA (Onsite)
About the Role
We are seeking a senior procurement leader to oversee global strategic sourcing at Rubrik. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in technology sourcing (Software, Hardware, SaaS, Cloud, and Professional Services), while driving supplier performance, cost efficiencies, and innovation. This role requires someone who can balance strategy with hands-on execution, build strong cross-functional relationships, and mentor a geographically diverse team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across IT, Engineering, and InfoSec categories.
- Negotiate complex deals and manage end-to-end sourcing projects (RFQs, RFPs, vendor evaluations).
- Develop and implement category strategies to deliver measurable savings and value.
- Oversee contract management (commercial terms, renewals, compliance, scalability).
- Build and manage supplier relationships (performance scorecards, QBRs, KPIs).
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Legal, Finance, R&D, InfoSec, Accounting).
- Mentor and develop procurement team members, ensuring best practices adoption.
- Track and report on KPIs, savings, and supplier performance.
Qualifications
- 9+ years in Indirect Procurement / Strategic Sourcing, with strong focus on Technology Procurement.
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to drive complex global deals.
- Broad category management experience: Software, Hardware, SaaS, Cloud, and Professional Services.
- Strong financial, analytical, and supplier performance management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset, able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with Coupa and Netsuite (preferred).
- Contract negotiation experience from a legal perspective is a plus.
