Job Description

As a liaison between customers in Japan and a local development team, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and documenting systems and applications. You must be bilingual in English and Japanese with the ability to speak, write and read in both languages.



  • Become SME of core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned areas and projects.
  • Perform current state analysis of existing business systems, applications and functions and design solutions and enhancements.
  • Work with users to elicit requirements and perform walkthroughs with business for maintenance enhancements.
  • Research reported issues, provide resolutions and validate changes by testing programs.
    Demonstrate the ability to liaise between business and technical departments.
  • Perform Ad-Hoc reporting and report support as necessary in English and/or Japanese.
  • Identify opportunities for improving processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes.
  • Consolidate information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making.
  • Participate in UAT and testing of new system functionality.


  • Solid experience in business analysis, requirements definition, building systems solutions, and deployment of business requirements within an enterprise level software development environment.
  • Strong experience gathering and documenting functional / non-functional requirements, business rules, and processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in BOTH English AND Japanese
  • Expert knowledge of the SDLC and/or PDLC with basic functional and technical design skills
  • Good experience in Agile/Waterfall methodologies within an enterprise level software development environment
  • Good SQL experience, with basic programming skills and a general knowledge of Cloud/AWS.
  • Experience with Web product design and Web application development using modern frameworks(ex: Drupal, React).
  • Strong knowledge of Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Good organizational skills, with ability to present information clearly to Development Team and Stakeholders.
  • Experience with JIRA preferred
