Job Description

Our client has a direct hire position as a Senior Systems Engineer with a background in Telecommunications Industry in New Jersey, (will consider candidates who live on the east coast).  The responsibilities include technical sale support, interfacing with customer and partners, and be considered the lead technical liaison for the customer to the product management and engineering  teams at the company. Relocation assistance is a possibility for candidates living outside the area

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of client's market: mobile and broadband operators and aligned ecosystem players
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of the product offerings including the ability to articulate the value of the product through presentations and demos.
  • Develop and manage a tight and trusted technical relationship with prospects and customers at different levels 
  • Work cross functionally with other organizations to resolve critical customer situations
  • Proactively help identify new sales opportunities based on thorough understanding of customer requirements and put these into the perspective of a sales process
  • Understand and articulate business value, competitive differentiators and technical advantages of solutions
  • Be able to excel in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on a customer service attitude
  • Work cross functionally with counterparts in Product Management, Program Management, Development, Quality Excellence and Support to ensure customer success
  • Document and gain agreement from the customer for new or modified product features and customization requests
  • Communicate customer feedback that drives new product enhancements
  • Create and maintain integrated ‘out of the box’ demos including demo scripts and recordings
  • Lead RFP responses and technical sections of large/complex customer proposals
  • Deliver Sales Engineering supporting activities needed to achieve quarterly sales targets
  • Be able to travel 30% of the time as required for customer and partner interaction

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technical selling and supporting software products to mobile operators, cable operators or telecom organizations
  • Technical experience working with Tier 1 mobile operators is required
  • Hands on experience with public cloud platforms, mobile Operating Systems and mobile data networks is mandatory
  • Aptitude to pick up new technologies and trends as they become relevant for the business and our platforms is required
  • Experience supporting complex, diverse and fast-moving sales processes involving multiple customer stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation skills. Ability to present complex concepts in an organized and articulate manner to both commercial and technical audiences
  • Experience working with broadband and 5G router hardware/software including prplWrt and RDKB is highly desired
