Job Summary/Company: 

Sparks Group is partnering with a client supporting Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Reston on a long-term contract. This contract provides support for web-based applications which provide tools to review, analyze and plan for execution of financial resources, payroll activities and other financial-related activities for this federal agency. This is a great growth opportunity for someone looking to grow their career beyond the realm of Help Desk. This position requires a TS/SCI clearance, along with a IAT Level II Certification (within 30 days of start).


Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will serve as a Mid level technical support analyst to provide front line technical support to our Government customer.

  • Technical Support to Functionals and Users
  • Troubleshoot technical/application issues.
  • Troubleshoot data load and data mapping issues
  • Monitor application performance
  • Review & implement technical requirements
  • Support Software Lifecycle, Testing, and Release Management activities
  • Support Development/Review of Technical & Security Documentation
  • Perform Software Development (.Net, SQL Server)

Individual should be able to work with minimal supervision. Individual must be able to analyze and prioritize workflow. Individual should be able to analyze user requirements, design, build, and implement appropriate solutions. Successful candidate should have strong written and oral communication skills. 

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • 6 years working in a technical discipline providing technical support, application development, or database development.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Web and GUI development experience (ASP .Net, VB .Net, ADO .NET, HTML, JavaScript).
  • SQL Server database (2012 or 2106) experience writing stored-procedures, views and triggers a plus.
  • Experience with DoD and/or General Defense Intelligence Program (GDIP) budgeting process a plus
  • Experience with financial based systems is a plus
  • Experience with adhoc reporting, Pivot tables and Microsoft Excel a plus.
