Strong candidates will possess the range of workplace experience and ServiceNow certifications needed to effectively design, develop, test, implement and support applications aligned with their particular area of expertise. Selected resources may be deployed to one or more customer application teams depending upon the scope of work, duration and availability of client personnel.
Activities to be carried out within individual roles are commensurate with those as described above. At a glance these can be described as:
ServiceNow Architect - Architect a ServiceNow based solution designed to fit within the client's IT infrastructure environment through integration with legacy applications and common services (sign on, reference data, etc.) as well as usage of ServiceNow licensed apps or custom built applications
ServiceNow Senior Developer - Design, build and test applications within the scope of the targeted product, using ServiceNow licensed apps or custom built applications. The Senior Developer will be expected to take on more complex work while mentoring junior developers to become more proficient and knowledgeable
ServiceNow Developer - Build and test applications within the scope of the targeted product
ServiceNow Tester - Responsible for end-to-end application testing and coordination with integrated application teams to ensure end-to-end functionality meets requirements while utilizing modern testing technologies (such as automation testing) and ServiceNow Test Management suite
ServiceNow Business Analyst - Responsible for utilizing their knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and applications to elicit requirements from business and technical teams
ServiceNow Performance Analyst - Responsible for technical tuning of applications based upon performance to ensure high availability and responsiveness
ServiceNow Metrics & Reporting Analyst - Responsible for working with product teams to design and instrument applications with the proper metrics to measure application value and provide needed management information and business intelligence to the client.
ServiceNow Administrator - Responsible for configuration of environments, applications, user groups, permissions etc. to ensure development, testing and operations are carried out
ServiceNow Pipeline Manager - Responsible for the overall movement of configuration and code from environment to environment working with client personnel for testing validation and sign off where required
Typical core activities that are common to any type of ServiceNow role include:
Working with product teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical requirements and user stores for Agile sprint planning.
Provide subject matter expertise to the platform program office, product development teams and operations
Develop and document best practices to institute within the client to enable employees to gain proficiency in platform design, development and operations over time
Contribute as a member of the Agile development team, participating in stand ups
Estimate personal workload, dependencies and prioritize user stories as part of the product team
Identify and assess opportunities to simplify and standardize features under development, opportunities to leverage OOTB solutions and automate processes and/or fulfillment
Provide DevOps support for fast resolution of issues identified during operations
Candidates must also be able to get a Public Trust Clearance. No prior clearance is required, but is helpful. Clearance takes 4 - 5 weeks so candidates are encouraged to apply in advance of any projects ending to minimize their down time.
We expect some initial roles to begin during the summer of 2020 with many more to begin on October 1.
